This morning I was relaxing by the "fake fire "on the Christmas channel listening to some festive music. I adore real fires but this is lovely for ambiance n'est ce pas!

Someone special and I staged a classic black and white photo shoot last weekend. Black and white photography is so "au courrant" for 2014.

Peek-a-boo, curious of my minimalist holiday makeup du jour.  It is quite a simple and natural look with a touch of sparkle. To replicate, simply add a touch of YSL highlighter and pink blush with a bit of gold and beige hued eye shadow.  Finish with a raspberry hued Chanel glossimer and voila you are ready. 

Baking gluten free sugar cookies for my dear ones to enjoy!

Voila, the cookies are all wrapped up in a chic "take away" packaging for someone special.  Baking cookies is rather simple, but it is truly a sweet and caring gesture.

Winter white is so "au courrant" this season and for some it can be a double edged sword, white after labour day.  However, you can do white all year round it is simply a matter of texture and styling from summer to winter.  Winter white is a classic twist on summer's effortlessly chic and crisp white ensembles, n'est ce pas!  Instead of linen or cotton, opt for chic and cozy pieces in luxurious cashmere and wool fabrics.  Today, I choose this wonderfully chic and cozy cream Design history dress, and voila winter white is so right this moment.

A CHIC CHAT FILLED WITH WARM WISHES FOR YOU

 Happy Wednesday dear friends, how are you?

 It is getting very chilly here, which has me escaping to some of my favourite cafes for a little chic chat and cafe latte with dear ones.  

Take a peek at my chic cafe latte "selfie."  It is quite interesting how the term "selfie" made it into the dictionary this year and the definition of literally now seems something slightly elusive.   Learn something new today and everyday as natural curiosity is so enchanting, n'est ce pas!  

Next year what will be the latest buzz words, perhaps "effortlessly chic" - you heard it hear first (insert chessy wink here).

Thanks to a new chic companion JOLI COSMETIC SOLUTIONS something new to share with you dear friends is some exclusive information regarding organic beauty extract Tea Tree Oil.  Also, with the holidays soiree season upon us, it is always good to have something new to chat about!

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil is a natural alternative to many common antimicrobial chemicals. It comes from the crushed leaves of the tea tree, and has proven to be more than 10 times more effective at killing microbes than a common antimicrobial, phenol. It sounds too good to be true, n'est ce pas?

However, tea tree oil is produced in much the same way paint thinner is produced, by boiling the raw oil, and extracting only the most volatile component chemicals from the bulk. As a consequence, tea tree oil is not just good at killing bacteria, it is good at killing everything. 

The American Cancer Society says:
“Tea tree oil is toxic when swallowed. It has been reported to cause drowsiness, confusion, hallucinations, coma, unsteadiness, weakness, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach upset, blood cell abnormalities, and severe rashes. It should be kept away from pets and children.”

As tea tree oil is exposed to light, particularly UV light from the sun, oils break down into by-products that can causes rashes or allergic reactions, especially for people with sensitive skin. In this aspect, tea tree oil is very similar to mineral spirits (paint thinner) and turpentine.Tea tree oil is often used is cosmetic products to get a “paraben-free” claim. Not all paraben-free products contain tea tree oil, but it is something to look out for.

LET'S PLAY DRESS UP TOGETHER

Happy Tuesday dear friends, how are you this week?

Let's chic chat for a bit, then let's play dress up together!

Wow, this week is going  by quickly. Does time really move faster when you are having fun?  I asked my self this question, and that would be impossible I think. Time is not moving any faster, that is impossible. The fact is we seem to lead very busy lives today, and as a consequence we seem to notice how little time we actually do have. Time is our most precious resource. It is  so important to not waste it, and to cherish every moment.

This leads me to a very key question dear friends. What is that you enjoying doing in your spare time?  How do you unwind and relax on weekends or after a busy day?  Let me share, my secret to a balanced life. I enjoy time with dear ones and of course playing dress up. It is the perfect thing to do on a lazy afternoon.

Last Sunday, I enjoyed a little dress up time,let me share my passion.
