AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER

In life there are only a handful of moments we will experience that will truly touch our hearts and soul.  Last Sunday eve was one of them for me!  To put it mildly, It is amazing what you can accomplish if you commit yourself to a goal.  Looking back on the night, it is truly outstanding we raised $4,000.00 for the Canadian Cancer Society, through our Third Annual "Answer to Cancer" Fashion Show. 

Thank you goes out to my team, and all the amazing sponsors which supported us again this year.
Together we made a dream come true.
Together we made a positive difference in our community.

Looking back on my experience, its hard to imagine its all over until this time next year again!

Getting ready for the amazing night took a bit of time..

My hair was worn in a side swept style using antique rhinestone hair clips, purchased at my friend's vintage store last year.  Also I called on a brand I love Chanel (well I just looked in my makeup bag, keeping  my fingers crossed for the future).  I hope one day to meet the amazing Karl Lagerfeld in person.  My makeup was simple and elegant.  Shades of lilac, pink, cream, and tan  from my favourite Chanel makeup items were utilized to compliment the gorgeous lilac Herve Leger Couture dress worn for the occasion   Sometimes a polished natural look that highlights your best features is best for a special occasion n'est pas?

And voila my chic enesmble is revealed for the night below take a peek my friends

 Chic accessories included a beloved Chanel mini-flap handbag in black caviar leather, antique diamond and ruby earrings, and a lovely pearl necklace from Monaco, both gifts from dear ones!

LA PERLA AND A CHIC CHAIRTY FUNDRAISER

Good evening dear friends, or shall I say amies!  Hope you are having a wonderful week!  

Just wanted to wish you all a happy first day of Spring, yeah its finally here, however the snow has decided to stay just a bit longer where I am.  Hope it disappears soon with April showers as March is almost over...can you believe how quickly it has gone bye?

Last night I attended and helped organize a fundraiser for the Canadian Cancer Society. It was an event that kicked off the media blitz for the upcoming charity fashion show this coming Sunday. Proceeds for that event also benefit the Canadian Cancer Society.  I adore fashion, which you all know already, however volunteering with non-profit organization and raising funds as well as awareness for charity is my other passion!  It is very important to give to others, as in life you may need a helping hand from a friend or loved one, so it is very important to help others that may be less fortunate than yourself!

Now to the main event my chic ensemble!

Makeup is simple and elegant as  I used an assortment of my favourite Chanel make up products to create this look, I do not profess to be a makeup artist thought...(will share my favourite Chanel products in a post soon!)

GREETINGS AND A CHIC CHAT

Greetings my dear friends, just wanted to say hello and wish you all a wonderful weekend. Wow time is flying and thank goodness its almost spring (it shall arrive next week wonderful).  It is still snowing here off and on, so I am optimistic it will all disappear next week.  Otherwise I am starting an occupy snow protest want to join?  We will use blow dryers to combat the snow!

Chanel is by far my favourite brand and with the reveal of its latest collection for Fall-Winter 2013-2014 today, it is just the right moment to share a little bit.  Everything was very classic and elegant today, which is the signature of this timeless and beloved brand.  Wow I am already so excited for next fashion week season.  I can never get enough especially of the Paris show. It such a nice treat the development of live stream media technology n'est pas amies?
